Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Program was awarded the Fastest Application Processing Program award at the 7th Annual Caribbean Investment Summit held in Antigua and Barbuda at the end of April 2025.
This recognition for the Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship by Investment Program follows the radical reforms introduced by Prime Minister of St. Kitts, Dr. Terence Drew, and the Head of the Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Unit, Mr. Calvin Jooste.
The program’s strengths include improved efficiency, digital innovation, and the rapid processing of backlogged and new applications, particularly following St. Kitts’ efforts to add a level of due diligence to its program to ensure continued visa-free entry to European countries and the United Kingdom.
At the same investment summit held in Antigua and Barbuda, the Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Program was awarded the Heritage Excellence Award for its efforts in preserving the world’s oldest investment citizenship program, launched in 1984.
Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Program sets a benchmark for similar programs worldwide, thanks to the outstanding management of the Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Unit, which has successfully balanced investor requirements and maintained the program’s strength since its inception.
In the second half of 2025, St. Kitts was selected as the founder of the Best Energy Project at the 17th Annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF 2025), held in early May 2025. This achievement is a testament to St. Kitts’ commitment to infrastructure and reflects the attractiveness of the Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Program.
This award was given to the Butler St. James Photovoltaic Power Plant, a solar power plant that treats 60,000 gallons of water per day. Located in Nevis, this integrated project provides clean energy to the island and is part of a federal initiative involving the United Arab Emirates and funded by the Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund, aimed at improving climate and energy use in the region.
Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Unit celebrated the St. Kitts and Nevis passport winning the Best New Passport Award for 2025 at the HSP Global Security Printing Conference recently held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Saint Kitts and Nevis passport achieved this status following a major upgrade in November 2024, which included an advanced security system. St. Kitts is the first Caribbean country to win this award.
It is worth noting that the new St. Kitts passport was designed as part of the fourth generation of border management systems and boasts several features that make it the best, including a tamper-resistant polycarbonate data page, enhanced security features against forgery, and a design that reflects the culture and identity of St. Kitts and Nevis.
Commenting on this achievement, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Dr. Terrance Drew, expressed his pride in this accomplishment, emphasizing his country’s commitment to protecting the identity of its citizens, enhancing border security, and advancing the Saint Kitts Citizenship through investment Program.
This recognition reflects Saint Kitts and Nevis’ commitment to enhancing national security, embracing the latest technologies, and building trust globally, not just at the national level. Also, this achievement not only demonstrates the strength of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Passport by Investment, but also highlights the efforts made to keep pace with international standards and ensure best practices in global mobility.
