Ms. Marsha stated that this step comes in line with the state’s plans in its welcoming policies for visitors and its people at the same time. She said their recent operations (New Gateway System), conducted in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration, put them on the right track.
With the new passport control system, visitors will have the advantage of avoiding long queues and manual checks by immigration officers, and these technological steps supported by cameras and travel protocols enhance the security of entry into the Caribbean Union.
The system will initially serve citizens of members of the Eastern Caribbean Community (OECS), after which the system will be rolled out to citizens of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, and Canada. Saint Kitts citizenship program and launch of a new tax system
